Method Supporters in LSS

Do you want to strengthen the conditions for self-determination, participation, and equality for children, young people, and adults within LSS? We are now looking for two method supporters who want to drive and develop the work with conversations, participation, and adapted communication in the disability services.

About the workplace

The Development Unit is located in beautiful Maria Park, and the unit's mission is to ensure that the department works systematically and long-term with the administration's prioritized areas within functional support. In 2026, we will conduct a title review, which means that the job title may change over time – but the core of the assignment remains: to provide our customers with the best possible conditions to understand, participate, and express themselves on their terms.

Job responsibilities

A central part of the assignment is to ensure that our customers increasingly feel that the staff speaks in a way they understand. To succeed in this, we need to strengthen the use of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) – including a more systematic and equitable approach to visual support, which is an important prerequisite for increased comprehensibility and participation for many of our customers.

In this role, you will help create structures, build competence, and develop methods that contribute to adapting communication to each individual's abilities and needs. You have a central task in developing and strengthening communication within the LSS operations and creating a culture of education and collaboration.

Qualifications

You have a higher education that is relevant to the disability field, such as pedagogy, behavioral science, communication, or a related area. You have experience working within LSS or related activities and possess knowledge and experience of AAC, particularly visual support or other visually based communication. You also have a good ability to educate, inspire, and support colleagues and work independently and systematically with development issues.

Experience with TAKK at basic or advanced level, visual support, or other AAC methods is advantageous. It is also beneficial if you have experience in implementation or guidance within communication support, as well as experience in process management or organizational development. Furthermore, it is meritorious if you have worked in interdisciplinary teams, for example, together with occupational therapists, speech therapists, or habilitation, and if you have experience in developing educational materials.
